Hi there, I try to get my multi-project up and running with Maven RC2. However, the avalon:meta goal has disapeared. Maybe somebody has a hint how to get this goal running again.
I tried the following: Supposing I have to build avalon from scratch, I read the README.txt: "The avalon buildfiles use a common buildsystem which utilizes maven and forrest. You will need to download and install maven, the maven-forrest-plugin, and the avalon-buildsystem module. After doing so, change into the buildsystem directory and type `maven avalon:info` to get yourself started." Where to get these "maven-forrest-plugin" and "avalon-buildsystem module"? - Search google for "maven forrest plugin" finds "http://wiki.apache.org/old/MavenForrestPlugin"; which refers to "http://lsd.student.utwente.nl/repository/forrest/jars/maven-forrest-plugin- 1.1.jar" as the plugin download. Does not work. Ok it is in the old directory, so has not to be uptodate. - Goto ./buildsystem and type maven brings up big text and a reference to "http://nagoya.apache.org/wiki/apachewiki.cgi?MavenForrestPlugin"; which refers to the same link as above -- does not work. - Ok, building from scratch. Does bring *a lot of* undownloadable components, so build fails. Hope it's easier to get a hint from somebody knowing how to build Avalon, and/or resolve the avalon:meta goal.
