Thanks Stephen, but I'm trying to use james 2.1.3 (that uses phoenix) + jetty block. Dou you know if the sevak jetty block is stable and ready for production ?
Short answer - no. Long answer - its does not matter. If you locked into james 2.1.3 (as opposed to HEAD) your dealing with interaction with james via the remote manager, smtp port or pop3 port - which basically means that the container in which james is running is not an issue (because your not reusing james as a component).
Concerning servak - dead end - forget about it. The effort going into the avalon http facility is an order of magnitude more useful - full http to component integration. The actual servak code is in avalon/sandbox so there is stuff there - but it should be viewed as a resource for pulling out content and ideas. There is no active development .. i.e. this is dead code and will be buried once avalon http is released.
One option is to use james as is (under Phoenix for the moment) and in conjunction use avalon http under merlin - although my approach would be to tie it all together under merlin.
Cheers, Stephen.

Phoenix has been replaced by Merlin. There is an http based facility for Merlin based on jetty that is under active development. You can find out more information about merlin here:
