I just think it is not harmful, it is as convenient and it give a change.

You mean "right" ??
Ergonomic research from early/mid 90s (I think it was), showed that menus on
the right was more 'natural' and 'easy' to use. However, the Web at large
have used menus on the left to such an extent, that it is today hard to know
what is 'natural' and what is 'habit'.
But with some scripting magic, I might be able to pull off that each person
get the menu on the side they want :o)
