Looks like we're ALL going to need to read the SVN documentation. :) http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ What you really want to do I believe is something like this: svn co https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/avalon/trunk avalon This checks out the trunk into a directory named "avalon". So you would end up with: avalon/ central discovery legacy planet runtime studio tools However, I agree with Niclas' warning that it will take us a little bit to get used to svn and also organize ourselves, so the repository will remain a little volatile over the next week or two.
