Anytime is a good time to put up ideas and thoughts on this subject.
My own assumptions are that we would put in place a mapping of the meta-info and meta-data to IIOP value types. Next step would be to put some IIOP based servant activators in place which would mean that services that are remotable can be automatically deployed as such.
Then you will be able to resolve services between different Merlin systems. Finally, this all ties in with the Merlin Discovery product (on the drawing board) - docs on discovery are available if your building from svn - otherwise, they will be available on line in a few days.
