Hello All,

I just found out about merlin/avalon and very interested in using it for me current project. However, I'm lost on how to go about learning more about it. I've read through the documentation on the website, but I've not really been able to get much out it. Are there any other source for information on the project, like HOWTO and sample codes which shows you step by step how to go about developing with Avalon/Merlin. Any information would be really helpful, thanks in advance.

I suggest you download the following:

  Merlin Tutorials form:
  http://www.apache.org/dist/avalon/merlin/source/3.3.0/

  Merlin Docs from:
  http://www.apache.org/dist/avalon/merlin/binaries/3.3.0/

Please not that the documentation I'm referring to above is relevant to the 3.3.0 release whereas online tutorials are being restructure to align with the current development branch.

To build the tutorials you will need to install a product called Maven which you can find at http://maven.apache.org/start/download.html (please note that the next release of Merlin will be shipped with Magic - an improved build system that eliminates the maven dependency).

If you have any problem - just shoot a message to the list.

Cheers, Steve.
