Just to follow on -- if you have an 0.8.x master, you can continue installing the buildbot-slave package and things will work just fine. When you upgrade the master to 0.9.0, you can still use those packages, or at your option the newer buildbot-worker packages.
The worker code tends to evolve very slowly, so I suspect that buildbot-slave==0.8.12 will be satisfactory for just about everyone for quite a while. Dustin
