Struck out installing 2.3 because of missing dependencies, but 2.4[.9]
installs and buildr now works with one warning,

Yes, that's me :)  Thanks for all the work you did on JikesRVM's build
system - one of those painful, thankless jobs that made everyone's lives
much easier!
