If you're using CamelTestSupport you can do the following...

    protected Context createJndiContext() throws Exception {
        Context jndi =  super.createJndiContext();
        jndi.bind("myRetryBean", "somebean");
        System.err.println(jndi.lookup("myRetryBean"));
        return jndi;
    }
