Hi Claus,

when I use the bean style is it then possible to use ${file:name}? I would 
guess this is not possible.
So that means upgrade to 2.3?

You can try using the bean style instead

<bean id="errorEndpoint" class="org.apache .... FileEndpoint">
  <property name="fileName" value="${someSpringPropertyKeyHere"/>
  <!-- and set all the other options as well -->
</bean>
