I think there was a bug when using JMS selectors from the consumer template. So that may explain why it works in Camel 2.4 and not 2.3.
About the book. Manning sends an email when there is an update. I think we have done 8 updates on the book. The last one is a couple of months old, but containing all 14 chapters and some appendixes.
