Hi, Not sure which version of Camel you are using, however, in Camel 2.5, there is now an ability to schedule routes using either a Simple Scheduler or a Cron Job
Please check out the section for ScheduledRoutePolicy http://camel.apache.org/scheduledroutepolicy.html http://camel.apache.org/scheduledroutepolicy.html You can also check out my blog entry on this new capability at http://opensourceknowledge.blogspot.com/2010/09/developed-capability-in-camel-to.html Schedule route activation, de-activation, suspension and resumption This should make your job simpler and you can also do it once and deactivate the route.
