Quartz Timer - Illegal Characters

hi all,

Where can I find a specification of the characters allowed and not allowed
in the groupName/timerName parameters of the Quartz component URI?
Or can someone kindly detail them here.

I already figured out (the hard way) that the following characters are not
allowed: space (' '), underscore ('_'), ampersand ('&').
