Hi

If you cross-reference an example of Camel release X with Y that's the best
you
will get out of it! As you claim to run camel-example-servlet-tomcat version
2.8.1
you should consequently remove ALL the lines:

<version>2.9.1</version>

That you've put inside the POM manually by yourself. Or change them to

<version>2.8.1</version>

And then you will no longer get any geronimo-servlet_2.x_spec.jar inside the
WAR
(try it). That jar comes TRANSITIVELY through the dependency chain:

camel-example-servlet-tomcat ==> camel-servlet ==> geronimo-servlet_2.x_spec

And if you look at camel-servlet POM itself you will see that the dependency
to
geronimo-servlet_2.x_spec has a proper scope which's "provided":

    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.geronimo.specs</groupId>
      <artifactId>geronimo-servlet_2.5_spec</artifactId>
      <scope>provided</scope>
    </dependency>

Again if you cross-reference the Camel versions the "provided" magic will
not work
anymore.

And IMHO do not make use of any SNAPSHOT version of anything but better the
latest
official version of that thing.
