We love contributions at ASF http://camel.apache.org/contributing.html So basically create a new JIRA ticket, and attach the patch as a file. Remember to mark [x] in grant license to ASF otherwise we cannot accept your patch. You are welcome to look at the other AWS components. Maybe their consumers could be improved as well.
