Claus, I understand that is what the exception indicates; However, as you can see from my code above (which is the actual code from the test) that I have declared the header a Map<String,Object> and am setting the value to the string "John." Thus, I'm confused where the hbase class is being referenced at all. The only classes I've imported in my test are:
