We have a security requirement to at least password protect JConsole access to
camel. It seems that for some reason at least on the default port of 1099 this
is not possible. I have set up password and access files and provided the
necessary JVM params but the password is never honored. So for this connect
string service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:1099/jmxrmi or this connect
string service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:1099/jmxrmi/camel you can just
walk right in. What I have found at least in the case of the first connect
string is if I add the JVM param and change the port to something other than
1099 things work as expected. No username and pwd no access. We are obviously
missing something and have been scratching our heads over exactly what that
might be as the documentation around all this is pretty straight forward. Has
anyone been successful in setting up security on a camel JMX connect? We are
just trying to setup username and pwd in a text file for now.
