You mentioned JBoss EAP, I assumed that you were using WildFly Camel which should take care of the component/endpoint lifecycle for you. You indeed can and may instantiate Camel components, that doesn't relieve you from making sure that you do proper lifecycle management like creating and stoping CXF bus as you have found out. zoran -- Zoran Regvart
