Can you use PollEnrich to work around this? Here's an example in YAML:

- route:
    from:
      uri: timer:test
      steps:
        - pollEnrich:
            expression:
              constant:
                expression: docker:stats?containerId=fa05264a1bed
        - to:
            uri: log:logger
      parameters:
        period: '5000'
