Kirk/All - using the API didn't work. I changed the password via XenCenter and made sure it took by reconnecting with the new credentials. Then, I ran and received the following via cloudmonkey: cloudmonkey> update hostpassword clusterid=clusterid hostid=hostid password=newpass username=root success = true
