Andrija - You are right and all the entries will be created in template_store_ref post 4.2. The table is similar to the template_host_ref and serves the same purpose. I am guessing that the authors have introduced this table since the secondary store is no more persisted in the host table and also the fact that similar tables were introduced for snapshots/volumes, they wanted to have consistent naming convention.
