IP parameters are fetched via normal DHCP protocol, from Virtual Router (if you choose to provide IP via VR, usually YES :)) -SSH keys... https://cloudstack.apache.org/docs/en-US/Apache_CloudStack/4.2.0/html/Installation_Guide/using-sshkeys.html have not used tham so far, but there is option to do wo - There is also Password Reset feature from GUI (small script/EXE file is installed inside VM), so VM get "command" (also via DHCP from VR) to reset ROOT/Administrator password to one that was generated randomly...works like a charm
