Centos for now doesn have support for RBD/Ceph (qemu-* and libvirt) - there was some nice explanations how to grab/compile RBD patches with qemu-* and compile RBD with appropriate support.
Ubuntu 14.04. works out of the box... (if you can hanle other Ubuntu child problems that are in some cases countless...like not being able to install grub at the end of the OS installation on software raid etc...)
