Have you looked into the DB for snapshots? SELECT * FROM cloud.snapshots where status="Allocated" or "BackedUp";
I am in the process of looking for a way to quickly search the db for all volumes from a curtain domain_id and validating that they have a recurring snapshot from the night before. And I check the DB for that data.
