ScaleIO is transparent to ACS, with xenserver scaleio deliver a SR type
LVMoHBA, with vmware is a common datastore, with kvm is a scsi device
(depends of clvm, ofcs2 or gfs2)...

I think the driver is to generate snapshots directly in ScaleIO ...
remember, snapshots of ScaleIO create a new device, not a recovery point.

knew of that was testing ACS with ScaleIO. i'm not sure whether it went
