Benjamin,

Keep in mind a storage network in the context of CloudStack *only means
secondary storage* - i.e. your primary storage is not affected per se. As a
result adding a new storage network only has implications for how management
(in the case of VMware) and SSVM access the secondary storage pools. Also keep
in mind this may have implications on your hypervisor networking – hence it
needs thorough planning.

With regards to adding a new physical network – you would have to do this on
command line using e.g. cloudmonkey, you can’t do this in the GUI.

I would also second Rafael’s comment – please test this very thoroughly in a
test environment before taking it to prod, the likelihood is you will find
issues and may find yourself in a situation where CloudStack secondary storage
operations stop working otherwise.
