Hello!
I recently installed CloudStack 4.20.1.0 and configured it to work with
VMware hosts.
I created the four networks required for the system to work:
- GUEST (VLANS 211-250 | IPs TO BE DEFINED)
- MANAGEMENT (VLAN 202 | 10.31.4.0/24)
- PUBLIC (VLAN 203 | TWO /29s, ONE FOR SYSTEM VMs AND ONE FOR CUSTOMER
VMs)
- STORAGE (VLAN 402 | 10.41.0.0/24)
My vCenter, ESXi hosts, and CloudStack communicate via the MANAGEMENT
and STORAGE networks.
For the PUBLIC network, I only configured the VLAN that carries the IPs
on the CloudStack port (I don't know if it's necessary) and on the ESXi
port. This way, when CloudStack created a SystemVM with a public IP,
ESXi would generate a PortGroup in VLAN 203 and could receive the public
IPs normally.
I configured the VM's /etc/hosts file with a subdomain of my public
domain and pointed it to my DNS server.
I seem to have configured everything correctly (correct me if I'm
wrong), but I still have a problem.
I can view the SystemVM console, so my Console Proxy VM works!
But I can't insert any ISOs or templates, or even use existing templates
to create new VMs. I always get a network error, the cause of which I
don't know, or if it's actually a network error!
I don't see any obvious configuration error or network issue that could
be causing this. Everything seems to be fine.
I'll leave a link below with screenshots of my system and log files.

I thought it might be a problem with my storage device, which provides
the Primary and Secondary Storage pools, but I don't believe that's the
case, since the Primary Storage worked perfectly to create the CPVM, and
I can normally edit the NFS pool I use for Secondary Storage if I go
into the SSVM and create files within the Storage device there!
Only when I try to UPLOAD an ISO/Template via CloudStack or create a VM
using an existing template does it give me an error!
Please, I could be wrong, so don't take my "guesses" into account. If
you can help me, I'd be grateful!
