GitHub user svenknockaert created a discussion: Shared Networking - state Setup
Hello We have set up CloudStack 4.20.1 for a while now, using Ubuntu 24.04 as KVM hosts. We are using BGP VXLAN EVPN to enable all network traffic (public, management, guest). The initial tests seem to go very well. It works perfectly to create isolated networks that connect via NAT (and the VR) through the public network. VXLAN bridges and interfaces are dynamically created as expected. However, when creating shared networks, there appears to be a (minor) issue. The network (for example, with VNI 5000) is created correctly in the CloudStack portal, but the status remains stuck at "Setup." Nevertheless, when the first instance is attached, a virtual router is created, it receives an IP address from the VR, and the instance can communicate perfectly on the shared network. Several other instances (even on different hosts) can reach each other without any issues. It seems that everything works correctly, but the status remains at "Setup." Is there really an underlying problem or a job that hasn't finished, or is this just a minor bug? Thx! <img width="316" height="184" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/82b8c5ad-c9a1-4fa7-8b87-eb7dea04a7b7" /> GitHub link: https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/discussions/11790 ---- This is an automatically sent email for [email protected].
