Kubernetes Flavors — A Reference Guide I Wish I Had When I Started

I'm somewhat late, we first deployed CKS through our customer portal for their
cloud projects running on ACS. We moved to Talos on ACS for these deployments.
First the machines are booted with registered Talos image, the plugin takes
control of talosctl and sets up the cluster. When the cluster is done we also
deploy CloudStack CSI driver and Calico on the cluster. Within 2 minutes
customers can deploy a full production Talos cluster and manage that on their
customer panel incl. upgrades etc. We made the choice to just program this in
our own portal as plugin instead of using GitOps tools etc. It worked out very
well and actually it is even deployed smoother than CKS. Especially scaling,
upgrading K8s and Talos is becoming a breeze. Unfortunately I cannot share it
since it is part of our commercial offering. Happy to share some details if
you're interested.
