It is not synced by cmap. Node status is essential property of totem protocol and it is just stored into local cmap mostly for diagnostics/monitoring. Also they are not so much in sync. You can try to create two node cluster, block traffic on one of the node and you will get node A which sees node B as a left and node B which see node A as left.

cmap isn't replicated across the cluster. If you need data replication
then you'll have to use some other method.
