Actually, as of 2.1RC1 there are seven jars that are snapshots, most of them
from Excalibur.

By the way, if any of you are involved with Excalibur development could you
please move excalibur-testcase to its own package.  It took me forever to
find it in excalibur-component.  I also find myself wondering why Excalibur
is packaged as a whole bunch of individual components.  They appear to be
hopelessly tied to each other. I was able to get a Generator unit test to
compile with only a few of the jars but needed most of them to actually get
the unit test to work.

The naming convention tells that the jar is built from a cvs checkout of 
that project on April 23 2002.  You can get the same sources from that 
day via their cvs.  Cocoon has since implemented a policy of only 
including released versions of external libraries to combat just this 
sort of problem.  At this point I think there are only one or two cases 
where that policy is violated in the cvs of cocoon 2.1.
