SQL Batch insert

Has anyone looked at a good way of doing multiple SQL inserts with 
cocoon and the SQLTransformer?  We have a page that may have 200 
seperate elements that need to be updated, and right now it seems like 
the only way of doing it is to issue seperate queries. 

Any help would be appreciated.
