I'm afraid that reloading whole Tomcat or at least a webapp (when the jar is in WEB-INF/lib) is the only way to make server notice changes in classes or jars. But I might be wrong.

I'm trying to build a Java class I can use as a wrapper to be used in an XSP page. I put it in a jar, but what is the correct place to put the jar? If I put it in tomcat/shared/lib I have to restart tomcat after each change in the jar.
