If [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't say anything about it, I'd say no. I'm not aware of any functional difference between temporarily unsubscribing and temporarily disabling delivery.
Disabling delivery should allow you to post without moderation. I do believe the function is there somewhere, but I've never used it myself.
