sourcewriting transformer writes asynchronous ?

Hi all,

i use a sourcewriting transformer to write a xml file. Immediately after 
the transformer i call an action. It seems like the action is executed 
before the file is completely written by the transformer.

Does the sourcewriting transformer write asynchronous ?
