I successfully used slide with autoversion control enabled under cocoon 2.1.3
I'm trying to migrate to cocoon 2.1.4 but now the autoversion is not working anymore.
From the commit messages I'd say the slide block is under heavy development/refactoring at the moment. For details you might ask on the developers list or Unico Hommes in particular.
