Hi,
Thanks! After changing the two "1.3" to "1.5", the compilation is successful
and can be run. But during the process, a lot of messages about "enum" and
"Iterator" comes out. Will that cause problems when running?

Sorry in advance if this duplicates a suggestion already made.

Did you try modifying the init-build.xml file to change the target?
That is what we had to do when we were getting that error.
Specifically, I updated line 156 and 182 of init-build.xml (in
cocoon-2.1.6/tools/targets) to say: target="1.5"

Good luck.

Theresa

1.5

Hi,

I thought I read somewhere before about this. But not sure.
The "enum" becomes keyword in Java 1.5.0 and it may be using in cocoon.
I have installed JDK 1.5.0_01 on Fedora2 and try to install cocoon
2.1.6.
Error:-
BUILD FAILED
/usr/local/cocoon-2.1.6/tools/targets/init-build.xm;:159: Compile
failed;
see the compiler error output for details.
