Our production environment is Cocoon 2.1.6 using EHCache and the status
page does show cache contents, eg:

org.apache.cocoon.components.store.impl.EHDefaultStore (hash =
0x197dab3)

    * cached: [show]
    * size: 2916 items in cache (0 are empty)

Clicking on the show link displays key values of all the items.

Also, our dev environment uses 2.1.8 and that also displays the contents
as expected.

Thanks for the info about Whirlycache,
Oliver

We were experiencing performance problems on a production site, and the
timeline wasn't wide enough to let me upgrade the whole Cocoon jars bag
at once, plus we had components tied to either Avalon or cocoon.xconf,
so I first chose to switch the cache provider. For what it's worth,
Whirlycache is said to be faster than EHCache, see
https://whirlycache.dev.java.net/.

I'm already using EHCache w/ Hibernate, I just gave Whirlycache a try to
see if it worked fine. Apparently, it does :p

Well.. nothing. Whirlycache cleans up itself.

May I ask if your StatusGenerator is showing EHCache's store contents,
and if so which version of Cocoon are you using ?

Thanks

Laurent
