Ok.... now I understand.  I'm eagerly awaiting the alpha-2 release so I can 
start playing with a (reasonable) stable API.  

Is there also an agenda besided the roadmap with some kind of target dates for 
releases?

When the release was done, Spring 2.5.6 hadn't been released and a
release can't be altered. The
alpha-2 release will of course contain the corrected versions.
