Hi, I installed DFly on an old laptop with an AMD Athlon XP-Mobile processor, unfortunately I'm unable to scale down the processor frequency, it's a problem for me because it makes the laptop to become very hot.
First of all, I tried to load the powernow kernel module: #kldload powernow.ko but it returns the following error: "powernow: no power states found". #sysctl -a |grep px hw.acpi.cpu.px_dom0.available: 1867 1463 1067 800 665 533 hw.acpi.cpu.px_dom0.members: cpu0 There are no .current and .target entries and indeed I'm unable to set the frequency I need. Note: frequency scaling works under FreeBSD. Is there something I can do to solve the problem (or maybe to help a kernel developer to find the bug)? Please cc me because I'm not subscribed to the list. Thanks for your help. -- -------------------- Maurizio Lombardi
