Hello Juantomas,

thanks for your interest in OpenOffice.org/Base. Please note I'm
answering your mail in [email protected], since that's more
efficient in sharing knowledge than private mails. Please also respond
to this list - see

information.

Unfortunately you do not mention how you connect to your MS Access
database. If it's via ODBC, then there is an option "Character Set" in
the "Database properties" dialog (Edit/Database/Properties...". It
allows you to choose nearly every encoding you like.

If you do connect via ADO (which is the case when you choose the "MS
Access" type in the File/New/Database wizard), then there should be no
encoding problem at all.

Also, the version of MSA which you used to write the data might make a
difference. Older versions in fact stored the data in a certain
encoding, while newer versions store Unicode data (as UTF-8, IIRC).

So, more details are appreciated.

None that I would now.

Cannot say this without knowing more details.

You should ask this on [email protected] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Building Base alone is not possible. For issues in building OOo as a
whole, I suggest you ask in [EMAIL PROTECTED] The knowledgable people
there are usually pretty helpful and responsive.

Ciao
