Do you have an E-Mail Client installed? Openoffice.org does not provide
an E-Mail Client but there are a lot of free software E-Mail Clients:
Thunderbird
http://www.mozillamessaging.com/de/thunderbird/
Evolution:
http://www.dipconsultants.com/evolution/
If you have an E-Mail client installed check if under "Tools" ->
"Options" "Internet" -> "E-Mail" your E-Mail client is selected.
