Dear All,
I have a system with two numa sockets. Each numa socket has 8GB of RAM. I reserve a total of 6 hugepages (1G).
Unless the system was specially crafted, it is very likely that 4GB belongs to each NUMA node, thus it is not possible for the kernel to put all 6 hugepages into the memory of the same NUMA node.
Perhaps adding another 8GB RAM and reserving 12 hugepages could help. Gábor
