Compat9x contains system libraries for FreeBSD 9.
There's no use for FreeBSD libraries on a DragonFly system.
More specifically, they can't be executed.

I'm not sure how you succeeded in using them. The realtime linker should have not recognized the libraries.

Hi there,

can anyone explain, what the issue with compat is?
Particularly compat9x is of interest for me.

I got compat9x and compat10x built on my system with some minimal fixes
in the Makefile and installed it, but I didn't test it right now. I just
wonder why it is not in the dports tree.

cheers,
Jochen
