The first time I have any trouble at all, something about __THROW popped
late the other day. And I turn my machine back on to find shared object
missing.
Ldconfig failed. They really are gone. As gone as if someone deleted them.
This is an actual question: how can  I completely regenerate shared objects?
They are shared.
I have not been this mad in a couple years.
