This should work. I tried:
@Component
@Instantiate
public class Test {
@Requires
private transient LogService logger;
@Validate
public void start() {
logger.log(LogService.LOG_INFO, "Hello");
}
}
And I got the expected result.
Could to post the code of your component ?
