I don't think so, but ultimately we may need to look into working around
this issue via implicit boot delegation. Further, I've changed the
implicit boot delegation logic quite a bit in:

So, it is likely that FELIX-2421 doesn't really apply at all anymore.
FELIX-2985 needs to be investigated with the new implicit boot
delegation logic from FELIX-2670.

iirc, this is a known bug/problem (can't seem to find the bug right
now so). At least afaik, it is exactly as you describe - proxy is
assuming it can get access to everything via the one classloader
despite it has the correct classes already :-(
