I've been looking at Metatype as a means of supporting the development of a configuration bundle.
While thinking on the design of this bundle, a question arose and I thought I would seek some input on this forum: I think it's safe to say that OSGi does not correlate versioning and defined PID's, either in the specs or in a general sense - a runtime OSGi instance expects one PID; e.x.: both bundle A-verion-1 (PID=a.b.c) and bundle A-verion-2 (PID=a.b.c.d) deployed in same runtime. Is bringing up this subject a little far fetched? What do you guys think? -- View this message in context: http://apache-felix.18485.x6.nabble.com/PID-and-symantic-versioning-tp5006869.html Sent from the Apache Felix - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
