Hi, The problem is that if you load an SWF from a webserver, then this file is executed in a so-called sandbox. You don't have full access to the machine you are working on and can only communicate with the server you loaded the SWF from. This is a security feature and (as far as I know) can't be disabled. Here's a description of the flash security stuff: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ActionScript/3.0_ProgrammingAS3/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118a9b90204-7e3f.html

I succesfully play a video I uploaded to my server with the following <s:VideoPlayer id="v" x="85" y="93" width="403" height="343" source=" http://150.214.114.80:5901/Damages.mp4" /> but I can't read it locally with: <s:VideoPlayer id="v" x="85" y="93" width="403" height="343" source="videos/Damages.mp4" /> (videos is a folder hanging from the project in the flash builder explorer) not even with the full path: <s:VideoPlayer id="v" x="85" y="93" width="403" height="343" source="Users/david/....blablabla.../videos/Damages.mp4" /> what am I missing???
