Thanks for the reply Erik. I use Flash Builder, but I must not have it set up perfectly for mobile development because I have been having the EXACT problems that you have mentioned, namely the busyIndicator and the textInput skins. I will have to look into if there is a setting in Flash Builder that I can check to make sure that mobile skins are the default. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
